Gamblers Turn to Online Casinos Due to Crime

25 Feb

In South Florida, gamblers have stated that they feel safer playing at online casinos than at land-based casinos. This comes after a robbery at the Seminole Creek Casino recently.

Since the robbery, attendance figures have decreased in Florida casinos proving that people are hesitant to play at places that might get robbed.

On the 29th of January a man pulled out a gun at the Seminole Creek Casino and demanded money from a casino employee.  The robber was later identified as Dominic Zibuda. While the police were attempting to arrest Zibuda, a gun fight started that became a five hour SWAT operation. The standoff ended when Zibuda committed suicide.

Patrons of the casino are obviously concerned  and shaken about casino safety now. No one was injured in the robbery but casinos throughout South Florida are reporting that there has been a definite decline since the incident.
